Responsibilities

As a truck driver in Canada, you will:

  • Operate and drive long-haul or local trucks to transport goods and materials across Canada
  • Plan trip routes and schedules according to delivery instructions
  • Ensure cargo is properly secured and meets safety standards
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
  • Maintain logs of working hours, driving hours, and fuel consumption in accordance with Canadian regulations
  • Deliver shipments safely and on time
  • Perform basic maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
  • Follow traffic laws and company policies at all times
  • Provide excellent communication with dispatchers and clients during deliveries

 

Requirements

  • Language: Good English communication skills + B1 level French test (or proof of French-language education) 
  • Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required) 
  • Experience: At least 1 year of professional truck driving experience

  • Ability to drive long distances safely
  • Knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle inspection procedures

  • Physical stamina and ability to handle loading/unloading when needed
